Refund Policy

1. Overview

The US Aktien Screener offers several refund mechanisms depending on the plan you bought and the circumstances. This page summarises them in plain English. Full legal text is in the Terms of Service.

2. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (consumers in the EU)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason, pursuant to Directive 2011/83/EU (transposed in Austria as FAGG).

How to exercise: An unequivocal statement is sufficient — informally by letter (by post) or by email to info@us-aktien-screener.com. A simple sentence is enough, e.g. "I hereby withdraw from my purchase of [plan name], order date [date]." You may also use the model withdrawal form (see below), but you are not required to. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send the statement in time.

Refund timeframe: All payments are refunded without undue delay and not later than 14 days of receipt of the withdrawal notice, using the same payment method that was used for the original transaction. No fees apply.

3. Important: Lapse of Withdrawal Right for Digital Content

The Service is digital content with immediate delivery. At checkout you are required to actively confirm the following clause via a mandatory checkbox:

"I expressly agree that the Service is provided immediately after conclusion of the contract. I acknowledge that with the beginning of contract performance, my right of withdrawal under § 18 (1) (11) FAGG / Art. 16 (m) Directive 2011/83/EU lapses."

By ticking this box you waive the 14-day right of withdrawal in exchange for immediate access to the screener. Without this confirmation, the purchase cannot be completed.

A purchase without immediate access is currently not offered. If you do not wish to agree to the immediate start, please do not complete the purchase — your 14-day right of withdrawal then remains fully intact.

4. Founder Plan: Pro-Rata Refund

The Founder plan is a one-time payment of €199 (≈ $219) that guarantees 3 years of access. The following refund rules apply:

• Early discontinuation by the provider within the 3-year guarantee period: you receive a pro-rata refund calculated by the number of months not yet used.
• Discontinuation after the 3-year guarantee period: no refund is owed, but you will receive at least 6 months notice by email before the Service is shut down.
• Force majeure (loss of essential data sources such as the Alpha Vantage API, irreversible legal changes): no claim beyond pro-rata refund.

5. Subscription Plans (Monthly / Yearly)

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time:

• Monthly plan: cancel any time effective at the end of the current month. No refund of the current month's fee. The Service remains accessible until the end of the paid period.
• Yearly plan: cancel any time effective at the end of the current contract year. No refund of the current annual fee. The Service remains accessible until the end of the paid period.

You will receive a reminder email 7 days before each automatic renewal.

6. Service Outages / Technical Issues

Short outages (e.g. a few hours of downtime) do not entitle you to a refund. For longer outages (more than 7 consecutive days) caused by us, the Founder guarantee period is extended accordingly. Outages caused by third-party data providers (Alpha Vantage) are not our responsibility, but we will do our best to compensate fairly on a case-by-case basis.

7. How to Request a Refund

1. Send an email to info@us-aktien-screener.com from the address you used for purchase.
2. Include your order number (in your purchase confirmation email) and a short note about the reason (optional but helps us improve).
3. You receive a confirmation within 2 working days.
4. The refund is issued no later than 14 days after receipt of your withdrawal notice, back to your original payment method (see § 2).

8. Payments via Lemon Squeezy

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record. For refund inquiries you may also contact Lemon Squeezy support directly via the link in your purchase confirmation email. Lemon Squeezy will coordinate with us internally.

9. Model Withdrawal Form (FAGG)

If you wish to withdraw from the contract, you may fill in this form and return it by letter or email — it is not mandatory.
